I started making dreamcatchers years ago when I was recovering from a car accident. I first made one for myself, including stones that I felt a certain resonance with and making it with healing intention to help me recover. It was just like remembering a forgotten part of myself, and came very easily and effortlessly. Friends and family then starting asking me to make them dreamcatchers, and so Destarté began. In 2011, I started my Etsy store. I was looking for something apart from the typical commercial sites, and Etsy's dedication to makers and home made goods fit perfectly with my ideals. I love the Etsy community and try to utilize other Etsy sellers for my supplies whenever possible. I expanded into jewelry, first learning from trial and error, and then increasing my skills with local classes in silver smithing and PMC (Precious Metal Clay) kiln designs. During the Covid lockdown, I created and offered my best selling custom dreamcatcher kits, giving others a chance to find some sanity in a crazy world by creating their own, one of a kind dreamcatchers.

I have always had a special affinity with stones and crystals. I take crystal energy healing very seriously and find the power of nature to be incredible. I pick and identify each stone personally, polishing, clearing and reenergizing each piece before parting with it. I have created my own labels to share with my customers the amazing properties of the stones they purchase. My Animal Totem Stones all have an accompanying stone properties card, and an Animal Totem Card to educate about Power Animals. My Inspiration stones have a stone properties card, too, and a card with an Inspirational quote as a reminder of the intention of each stone.

I take my inspiration from nature, wild crafting when available and growing my own herbs that are used in my every day space and wrapped lovingly with care into my custom deerskin medicine bags.

I bring together different ways I have healed my mind, body and soul into my creations. Aromatherapy is near and dear to my heart, and I custom blend all my oils for my Crystal Comfort Spa Kits.

Through my studies in Ayurveda ("The Science of Life"), I incorporate Chakra healing into many of my offerings, and work to carry on this sacred thousand years old tradition of whole body healing in everything I do.

My passion is my custom work. I create one of a kind, energy shifting jewelry and dreamcatchers, created for an individual to transform their lives by letting go of the past and becoming an active participant in their future. I work together with each custom patron to create a piece just for them, with stones and crystals to help them release what no longer serves them and bring in more of what nourishes their souls.

All my work is woven with love, light and a little bit of magic. All stones and kits are curated by myself, and blessed and cleared prior to shipping.
